A collection of jewelry featuring Azerbaijani national motifs by Aynur Jahan, a Canada-based artist, was recently showcased at the “Summer Pop-Up” craft venue in Paris’s 3rd arrondissement, according to Azernews.
The event attracted members of the local community and Azerbaijanis residing in Paris.
Aynur Jahan, while living abroad, aimed to create a collection that represents Azerbaijan. She achieved this goal eight years ago. Her jewelry designs are primarily inspired by motifs found on Azerbaijani carpets, and some pieces feature motifs from the Yukhari Govhar Agha Mosque in Shusha.
Through her jewelry, the artist shares information about Azerbaijan and the stories behind these motifs.
