Bonhams to Feature 17.19-Carat Diamond Ring at Paris Jewels Auction

Bonhams will present a stunning 17.19-carat diamond ring at its upcoming Paris Jewels sale. This exquisite piece is expected to sell for as much as EUR 120,000 (approximately $131,813).

The ring, featuring a brilliant-cut diamond with VS1 clarity, dates back to around 1953. It is one of 174 items in the auction scheduled for October 23, organized by Bonhams’ French branch, Bonhams Cornette de Saint Cyr. Another notable item in the auction is a Cartier jeweled desk clock from the 1930s. This clock is decorated with coral, mother-of-pearl, and enamel, and it has a high estimate of EUR 180,000 (about $197,773).

Marine Girardet, head of jewelry at Bonhams in France, commented, “Paris Jewels features a wonderful selection of highly sought-after pieces that showcase exceptional designs, stones, and craftsmanship.” On October 19, Bonhams will offer students from the prestigious Haute École de Joaillerie exclusive access to the jewelry. The students will create unique gouache drawings of some highlighted lots, which will accompany the auction items.

The sale will also include jewelry from well-known brands such as Cartier, Boucheron, Bulgari, Tiffany & Co., Van Cleef & Arpels, Buccellati, and Christian Dior.
