This week, Bonhams auction of late U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein’s personal collection brought in nearly $1.9 million, more than double the estimated total.

The auction, held on Tuesday in Los Angeles, highlighted Feinstein’s jewelry collection, which alone generated over half a million dollars. A platinum and diamond ring emerged as the top item, selling for $108,450, significantly exceeding its high estimate of $65,000.

A set of 18-karat gold jewelry by Angela Cummings for Tiffany & Co., which included a necklace and ear clips with a rose-petal design, sold for $10,880, more than tripling the expected amount.
