Lady Gaga’s engagement ring has captured the spotlight once again—this time, on the popular holiday edition of Carpool Karaoke. Engaged to tech entrepreneur Michael Polansky, the pop superstar showcased a strikingly large oval diamond set on a pavé band, sparking reactions from fans and experts alike.
The ring, worn on Gaga’s left hand, is undeniably massive, with fans flocking to social media to express their awe. One user on X commented, “That ring is absolutely bananas,” while another quipped, “That ring is huge lol.”
This is not the first time the world has glimpsed the dazzling jewel. Gaga debuted the ring back in April during a stroll with Polansky, and by July, she confirmed the engagement when she referred to Polansky as her fiancé in a fan video. Since then, she has been seen wearing the ring at various public events, including the Venice Film Festival and in a November video voicing her support for Kamala Harris.
However, the Carpool Karaoke appearance has given fans the clearest view yet of the stunning piece. According to Zack Stone, an expert at UK jewelry retailer Steven Stone, the center stone is even larger than initially believed.
“The center stone appears to be a 15-carat oval-cut diamond, a modern and unique cut that reflects Lady Gaga’s bold and distinctive style,” said Stone. “Given the size and quality of the diamond, I would estimate its value at around $1.25 million.”
While Lady Gaga’s engagement ring is certainly extravagant, she has hinted that the couple’s wedding might be more low-key. In a recent interview, she jokingly suggested a courthouse wedding with Polansky, followed by Chinese food. “Knowing me, also, it could become like a circus with unicorns,” she added, leaving room for a potential surprise.
Looking ahead, the couple has already discussed starting a family. “I’m so happy to be in love, and I’m so excited to have a family,” Gaga shared in a recent interview. “That’s definitely number one.” Gaga, who has long expressed her desire to become a mother, also discussed her excitement about having children in a 2020 interview, saying, “I look forward to being a mom.
