French luxury jeweler Boucheron has unveiled its second U.S. boutique in Las Vegas, marking a significant step in its American expansion. Located within the Fontainebleau resort, the 1,560-square-foot store opened in December, combining Parisian sophistication with the vibrant energy of Las Vegas. The move follows the brand’s first U.S. boutique, which debuted on New York’s Madison Avenue in September 2023.
According to Boucheron CEO Hélène Poulit-Duquesne, Las Vegas was chosen for its reputation as a global luxury destination. The city’s high-end resorts and upscale retail scene attract a clientele that values exceptional shopping experiences. “Its vibrant energy and position as a luxury hub make it ideal for increasing brand awareness among both American and international clients,” Poulit-Duquesne told JCK in an email interview.
The boutique’s design reflects a blend of Boucheron’s signature style and local influences. Bright colors and luminous materials were chosen to mirror the city’s lively atmosphere. The interior features moiré wallpaper, which mimics the shimmer of silk, adding depth and a play of light to the space. Round tables replace traditional sales counters, creating a more intimate setting for clients and advisors—a nod to the brand’s family-oriented heritage.
Poulit-Duquesne is deeply involved in the design process, ensuring every detail aligns with Boucheron’s vision. She personally attends design meetings and selects elements like wallpaper, furniture fabrics, and even door handles. “Each store carries Boucheron’s DNA while incorporating local touches that reflect the city’s unique character,” she explained.
The Las Vegas boutique also pays homage to Boucheron’s Parisian roots. The exterior features the brand’s signature green, connecting it to its flagship store on Place Vendôme in Paris. Inside, vintage lamps by French architect Pierre Chareau add a touch of history, while the VIP area showcases custom wallpaper inspired by the Jardin d’Hiver (Winter Garden) at the Paris flagship. The wallpaper, created in collaboration with French company Atelier d’Offard, combines 18th-century techniques with modern processes and features metallic blue, green, and orange tones for a Vegas-inspired twist.
Other standout design elements include photographs by Franco-Swiss artist Erwan Frotin and a unique coffee table by German studio Ilot Ilov. The table features OSIS, an innovative finish that uses salt crystals and pigments to create distinctive patterns on wood.
Poulit-Duquesne emphasized that each Boucheron boutique is part of a global art collection, with carefully curated pieces that give every location a unique atmosphere. “We aim to offer clients a fresh perspective wherever they visit us,” she said.
The Las Vegas boutique underscores Boucheron’s commitment to blending tradition with innovation, offering a luxurious shopping experience that resonates with the city’s dynamic spirit.
