Los Angeles-based jewelry designer Emily P. Wheeler has expanded her offerings with a new vintage jewelry collection, which launched this Tuesday at Bergdorf Goodman and on her website. The collection includes both signed pieces from renowned heritage houses and a series of reworked, unsigned creations that reflect a modern aesthetic while staying true to Wheeler’s core style.
The signed vintage pieces are available on the Emily P. Wheeler website and at her Los Angeles showroom. Meanwhile, the reworked vintage pieces will be exclusive to Bergdorf Goodman, available both in-store and online.
The collection features 10 reworked pieces and seven signed vintage items, with Wheeler planning to add more to both categories in the future.
The signed vintage collection includes jewelry from the 1960s, ’70s, and ’80s, which Wheeler has been sourcing for the past decade. Key pieces in the collection include a rare Bulgari necklace from the 1970s with signature links and carved gemstones, a custom 1970s necklace by the renowned Hemmerle jewelry house, and a pair of chunky gold earrings by Tiffany & Co. from the 1980s. Other standout pieces include Chopard’s iconic Happy Heart drop earrings featuring diamonds and colored sapphire side stones.
Among the unsigned pieces, there is a pair of 8-carat heart-shaped ruby earrings set with diamonds and a turquoise enamel snake cuff adorned with rubies and diamonds, sourced from Italy.
Wheeler, who has been a fan of vintage jewelry for years, expressed her excitement about the new collection. “As a fan of all things vintage, from clothes to furniture to jewelry, this new launch was a natural extension of my brand,” she said. “I love mixing old with new, which is reflected in my home, my style, and my jewelry. I started collecting vintage jewelry about ten years ago and have enjoyed pairing pieces from different eras with my newer designs.”
