Dior is celebrating a decade of its iconic Rose des Vents jewelry collection with the release of new pieces.
The collection, created by Dior Joaillerie Artistic Director Victoire de Castellane, first drew inspiration from Christian Dior’s childhood home, Les Rhumbs. Located on the windy cliffs of Normandy, the villa was named after a nautical term referring to the 32 points on a compass rose. A mosaic wind rose at the villa’s entrance became the key symbol behind the design.
The signature medallions are framed in rice-grain gold, which echoes the texture of a sailor’s rope. Each medallion features an eight-pointed gold star—Dior’s lucky number—set with diamonds and vibrant gemstones like opal, onyx, and malachite. These are designed to act as protective charms.
To mark the tenth anniversary, the latest collection introduces new ear cuffs, brooches, and necklaces. These join the original medallions while also exploring other symbols that Christian Dior loved, including the moon, stars, flowers, and bees.
The new designs continue to celebrate the themes of travel, protection, and luck that have defined Rose des Vents since its beginning.
