Kristin Cavallari, the founder of Uncommon James, has teamed up with her 9-year-old daughter Saylor to create the brand’s first kids’ jewelry collection. Launched on Tuesday, the eight-piece line features necklaces, earrings, and a bracelet designed by Saylor with Kristin’s guidance. The jewelry is made from kid-friendly 14-karat gold-plated brass, with magnetic closures for easy wear. Prices range from $18 to $22.
The collection draws inspiration from the Cavallaris’ beach trips to the Dominican Republic and Miami two years ago. The pieces feature colorful beads, a flamingo charm, palm trees, waves, and cowrie shells, capturing the sun-soaked memories of their vacations. This collection has been in the works for about a year and a half.
Kristin Cavallari started Uncommon James in 2017 as an accessories, beauty, and lifestyle company. The brand’s first products were jewelry, and today, Uncommon James has retail stores in Nashville, Chicago, Dallas, and Charleston, South Carolina. Cavallari credits jewelry as the core of the business, saying it “keeps the lights on” and drives most of the revenue. Skin care is also becoming a key category for the brand, often ranking in the top 10.
In addition to her jewelry brand, Cavallari has been busy promoting her new podcast, Let’s Be Honest with Kristin Cavallari, as she embarks on a nationwide tour. She is also preparing for her new reality show, Honestly Cavallari, which will air on Bravo, Peacock, and E! on June 4. The show will showcase her life as a mom and businesswoman and will offer a more authentic portrayal of her personal journey compared to her previous shows.
Cavallari rose to fame on MTV’s Laguna Beach and The Hills, reality shows that were heavily produced. She later starred in Very Cavallari, which followed her life in Tennessee with her ex-husband, Jay Cutler, and the opening of her Nashville store. However, Cavallari says that Very Cavallari didn’t show enough of her children, who are a central part of her life. She feels that by not including her kids, the show was less authentic and left too many storylines to fill in.
Now in a different phase of her life, Cavallari is eager to share more of her personal experiences. Honestly Cavallari will feature her three children—Saylor, 9, Camden, 13, and Jaxon, 11—alongside her busy work life. “Between Uncommon James and my podcast, my work plate is full, and most of my life is my kids,” she shared. “But they’re in school, so I feel really lucky that I have sort of a perfect work-life balance, and I’m just in a good groove, and I just hope to maintain that.”
This new chapter in Cavallari’s career aims to highlight her true self and the everyday moments that come with being a mom and entrepreneur.
