Pakistan showcased its vibrant gems and jewelry industry for the first time at the Health Engineering and Mineral Show (HEMS) 2025, held at a local hotel in Lahore.
The event was jointly organized by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and the Ministry of Commerce. The exclusive Gems and Jewelry Show highlighted Pakistan’s traditional craftsmanship and creative talent in a display larger than any seen before in the country.
Delegates from several countries, including many from Europe, Asia, and Africa, attended the show. International guests praised Pakistan’s collection of gemstones and jewelry, noting the country’s rich cultural artistry.
The fashion show opened with a dramatic entrance. As the lights dimmed and the first model appeared, it was clear this was more than just a display — it was a celebration of heritage, talent, and innovation.
Models wore dazzling statement pieces on the runway, turning the event into a tribute to Pakistan’s deep-rooted history in gemstone mining and jewelry-making. However, the show also emphasized collaboration. Top Pakistani jewelers partnered with leading fashion designers, creating unique and powerful combinations. For example, Waseem Jewelers collaborated with House of HSY, Almas Jewelers with Munib Nawaz, and Heritage Jewelers with Zonia Anwaar.
Educational institutions also took part. The Pakistan Institute of Fashion Design’s Jewelry and Gemological Science Department worked with fashion brand Lulusar to highlight emerging talent in the industry.
Each partnership told a visual story through handcrafted emeralds, rubies, gold, and silver. Traditional techniques were merged with modern styles, creating a collection that reflected both the legacy and future of Pakistani jewelry design.
While the show stood out on its own, it also aligned with the broader goals of HEMS 2025 — to promote Pakistan’s creative and industrial sectors to the international market. The event offered more than just visual appreciation. It opened doors for business. With global buyers, fashion media, and trade officials present, Pakistani designers had a valuable chance to network and explore export opportunities.
The event was produced by Takell Events and PR, with renowned designer Rizwan Beyg serving as show director.
For a sector known for its raw beauty but often overlooked on the global stage, this event marked a major turning point. The HEMS Gems and Jewelry Show sent a clear message: Pakistan is more than a source of precious stones — it is emerging as a center for luxury, culture, and innovative design.
With this debut, Pakistan has taken a confident step into the international spotlight. It sets the stage for future global showcases and strengthens the country’s place in the world of jewelry and fashion.
