Fine jewelry once owned by the legendary “Man in Black,” Johnny Cash, will soon be available to collectors. Karats Auctions is set to host a special sale featuring rare personal items from Cash’s life and career. The pieces come from the collection of Cindy Cash, Johnny Cash’s daughter, who is offering fans a rare chance to own a piece of music history.
The auction, titled The Cindy Cash Collection: Personal Property from the Life & Legacy of Johnny Cash, will open for bidding on May 2 and close on May 12. While the event features many notable items, the jewelry pieces are expected to attract special attention. These personal adornments once belonged to Cash and his family, making them highly valuable to collectors.
One standout item is a custom-made diamond ring that belonged to Johnny Cash. June Carter Cash, his second wife, purchased the ring on June 12, 1982. The sale will also feature June Carter Cash’s own rings, brooches, and other jewelry. In addition to jewelry, the auction will offer stage-worn clothing, handwritten lyrics, personal documents, photographs, and musical instruments, including a 1950s Martin guitar.
Cindy Cash personally selected the items for the auction. She said she hopes to honor her father’s legacy and share his story with others. “This auction is a way of honoring my dad and sharing pieces of his amazing story with the people who love him as much as I do,” she said in a statement.
