Dubai, October 11, 2023 – The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), the world’s foremost trade organization dedicated to promoting Indian gem and jewelry exports, is delighted to announce the commencement of the highly anticipated 3rd edition of the International Gem & Jewellery Show (IGJS) in Dubai. This spectacular event is proudly supported by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, and the Embassy of India in UAE, with additional support from the Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group. Suntech serves as the co-sponsor, and Sequel fulfills the role of logistics partner.
The IGJS show is set to captivate audiences from October 10th to 12th, 2023, at the Intercontinental Festival City Dubai. With a remarkable achievement, over 500 buyers hailing from 32 different countries are expected to grace this international jewelry extravaganza.
A notable lineup of 45 exhibitors awaits visitors at IGJS Dubai, showcasing an impressive array of product categories, including Diamond & Gemstones Studded Jewelry and Gold Jewelry. With more than 50 booths to explore, attendees can anticipate a diverse and opulent selection of jewelry creations. This curated exhibition carries a global focus and is exclusively dedicated to offering top-quality Indian jewelry to an international clientele.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by luminaries including Mr. Tawhid Abdullah, Chairman of Dubai Gold & Jewellery Group; Mr. Kirit Bhansali, Vice Chairman, GJEPC; Mr. Nilesh Kothari, Convener, International Exhibitions, GJEPC; Mr. Milan Chokshi, Co-Convener, International Exhibitions, GJEPC; Mr. Nirav Bhansali, Convener, National Exhibitions, GJEPC; Mr. Ramesh Vora, GJEPC International Coordinator; and Mr. Sabyasachi Ray, Executive Director, GJEPC, among others.
Mr. Tawhid Abdullah, Chairman of Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group, expressed his enthusiasm about hosting GJEPC’s International Gem & Jewellery Show. He highlighted the importance of such events in promoting Dubai as a destination and fostering international trade, especially after the India-UAE CEPA agreement. Mr. Vipul Shah, Chairman of GJEPC, emphasized the Middle East’s significance in the global gem and jewelry industry, especially with Dubai serving as a pivotal distribution hub for GCC, CIS, Far East, and parts of Europe. The gem and jewelry trade between India and UAE has witnessed substantial growth, thanks to the strategic partnership.
Mr. Kirit Bhansali, Vice Chairman of GJEPC, lauded the show’s role in reinforcing India’s position as a leading jewelry supplier worldwide. He also noted the success of the India Jewellery Exposition Centre (IJEX) in Dubai, which has facilitated trade worth $3.3 million. Mr. Nilesh Kothari, Convener of the International Exhibition at GJEPC, expressed the importance of IGJS in showcasing Indian jewelry to international buyers. This show underscores India’s prominence in the global gem and jewelry industry.

As part of its commitment to strengthening trade relations with the UAE, GJEPC has established the India Jewellery Exposition (IJEX) center in Dubai. IJEX serves as a dedicated B2B platform, allowing GJEPC members to exhibit their products and secure orders in the UAE market year-round. So far, IJEX has facilitated trade worth $3.3 million, providing an excellent opportunity for GJEPC members to enhance their businesses.
