MIDLAND, TX – The Midland Gem and Mineral Society is thrilled to announce the return of its 60th annual show, set to take place on November 4th and 5th at the Bush Convention Center, located at 105 N. Main St. The event will span from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on November 4th and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on November 5th.
This eagerly anticipated showcase of the enchanting world of gems, minerals, and fossils will bring together more than 20 distinguished vendors, hailing from both within the state and beyond. Attendees can anticipate an exquisite assortment of handcrafted jewelry, top-tier mineral and fossil specimens, and a dazzling array of other treasures.
This family-friendly extravaganza promises a wide range of entertaining activities for children, including the ever-popular grab bags. A standout attraction of the show is the extensive selection of geodes, which will be expertly cut on-site, offering attendees the thrilling opportunity to be the first to glimpse the concealed crystal treasures held within.
The Midland Gem and Mineral Society places a strong emphasis on education and engagement. Skilled club members will conduct live demonstrations in the art of lapidary (the cutting and polishing of rocks and minerals), wire-wrapping, chainmail, and more. Furthermore, attendees will have the opportunity to win door prizes and participate in a silent auction featuring a tantalizing array of items.
Admission prices are as follows:
- Adults (19+): $7 per day
- Children (6-18 years): $3 per day
- Children (5 years and under): Free
- 2-Day Adult Ticket: $10
For a special offer, children accompanying an adult with a two-day ticket on Sunday will receive free admission.
