Cristina Platania, Fossil’s creative director, shares that the designers were enamored by Wonka’s imaginative universe, infusing the collection with a nostalgic charm inspired by the iconic story.
The spotlight of the collection shines on limited edition variations of two classic Fossil watches: the Carraway and the Raquel. Priced at US$220 (C$290), the Willy Wonka x Fossil Carraway features a chocolate bar-inspired dial and a golden ticket intricately etched into its caseback. The Raquel, priced at US$195 (C$258), draws inspiration from the film’s lickable wallpaper, boasting a fruit-patterned leather strap and a memorable quote from the movie engraved on its caseback.
Complementing the watches are special edition jewelry pieces, including a statement signet ring replicating the iconic golden ticket (US$70, C$93); a pendant reminiscent of Willy Wonka’s Fizzy Lifting Drink (US$135, C$179); and a set of stud earrings (US$145, C$192), necklace (US$155, C$205), and bracelet (US$145, C$192) inspired by the lickable wallpaper, adorned with fruit-shaped crystals.
The packaging of each piece is thoughtfully designed to resemble a chocolate bar, adding an extra layer of whimsy. To complete the enchanting experience, the certificate of authenticity mirrors the iconic design of a golden ticket.
