Sotheby’s is set to dazzle the jewelry world with a spectacular showcase featuring more than 250 iconic jewels from a single collector. Among these treasures are the largest collection of René Boivin pieces ever to be presented at auction.

Announced last week by Sotheby’s, the upcoming sale, titled “Iconic Jewels: Her Sense of Style,” promises a showcase of opulence and history amassed over half a century. The event will span two auctions, the first during Sotheby’s Magnificent Jewels sales in Geneva on May 14, followed by an online auction from May 2 to 16.

Anticipated to draw significant attention, the entire collection is projected to fetch between CHF 4.7 million and CHF 7.3 million ($5.4 million and $8.3 million). Included within are the most iconic pieces and influential trends from prestigious houses such as Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Bulgari, Boucheron, Chaumet, and David Webb.

Notably, the offering boasts a remarkable group of nearly 30 lots designed by French jeweler René Boivin, marking a record number for the designer at auction, according to Sotheby’s.

The highlight of the sale is anticipated to be a pair of Bulgari earrings featuring two fancy-yellow diamonds each weighing just under 10 carats. These exquisite earrings, previously owned by the Baroness di Portanova, are estimated to command up to CHF 600,000 ($678,673).
