Grizzly Mining, a prominent player in the Zambian mining industry, has reported impressive revenue figures following its latest emerald auction held in Dubai. The company disclosed that it successfully auctioned 112 out of 117 lots of stones sourced from its Grizzly mine during the March sale, marking a significant achievement for the enterprise.
The auction featured a range of mid- to high-grade rough emeralds, drawing attention from buyers worldwide. Among the notable highlights was the sale of a remarkable 4,145-carat rough emerald, described as “exceptional” in quality, which commanded a price exceeding $1 million. The purchaser of this extraordinary gem was identified as K. Sunil Narnoli, a distinguished gemstone manufacturer based in India.
Participation in the auction was robust, with a total of 76 clients hailing from Europe, Asia, and Africa engaging in the sealed-bid online event. This diverse participation underscores the global interest and demand for Zambian emeralds, further solidifying Grizzly Mining’s position in the international gemstone market.
