The March 27 Paris Fine Jewels sale at Sotheby’s proved to be a resounding success, with the auction house raking in a total of EUR 5.5 million ($5.9 million). The highlight of the event was the sale of a brilliant-cut, D-color, VS2-clarity diamond ring by Hemmerle, which surpassed its estimated value of EUR 250,000 ($269,760).

In addition to the Hemmerle piece, signed works from renowned design houses such as Cartier, Chaumet, Van Cleef & Arpels, and Boucheron also performed exceptionally well. Several diamonds managed to exceed their presale estimates, showcasing the enduring allure of these precious gems in the world of high-end jewelry auctions.
