A 45.07-carat yellow diamond will headline the upcoming 125-lot jewelry sale at Phillips. This event will feature a variety of rare colored diamonds.
The square emerald-cut, fancy-vivid-yellow, VS1-clarity diamond is expected to sell for between $2.8 million and $3.5 million at the New York Jewels sale on June 12, according to Phillips’ announcement last week. Another notable gem is a cushion modified brilliant-cut, 4.01-carat, fancy-intense-green diamond, with a high estimate of $350,000.
Additionally, the auction will feature a Cartier ring with a pear brilliant-cut, 3.07-carat, light-blue, VS2 diamond flanked by two tapered baguette diamonds, priced between $200,000 and $300,000. An oval modified brilliant-cut, 4.16-carat, fancy-pink-brown, internally flawless diamond is also for sale, estimated at $120,000 to $160,000.
Other significant items include an oval brilliant-cut, 7.12-carat, F-color, VVS2 diamond set in a Harry Winston ring, and a pair of ear clips adorned with marquise-, pear-, and oval-shaped diamonds. Both of these lots have a high estimate of $220,000.
“We are excited to present such a strong offering in our upcoming New York sale, which follows our second successful season in Geneva,” said Eva Violante, head of jewels for the Americas at Phillips. “There has been a clear demand for exceptional jewels and gemstones spanning the century, as evidenced by the strong results in both Geneva and Hong Kong, and the enthusiasm seen during our international tour.”
