The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) achieved a significant milestone today with the opening of its new regional office at the Surat Diamond Bourse (SDB). The inauguration ceremony was led by Shri Praful Pansheriya, Hon’ble Minister of State, Government of Gujarat, highlighting the event’s importance for the state’s gem and jewellery sector.
Attended by prominent figures such as Govindbhai Dholakiya, Hon’ble MP – Rajyasabha and Founder of SRK Exports, Vallabhbhai Lakhani, former Chairman of SDB, and Laljibhai Patel from Dharmanandan Diamonds, the event underscored collaborative efforts to enhance Surat’s global reputation in diamond trading and exports.
The newly opened GJEPC regional office at SDB aims to strengthen industry relationships, encourage innovation, and support local businesses in the gem and jewellery sector. This initiative reaffirms GJEPC’s commitment to promoting Surat’s diamond industry globally, leveraging the city’s renowned craftsmanship and the modern infrastructure of SDB.
In his speech, Shri Praful Pansheriya highlighted the government’s ongoing support for initiatives that boost Gujarat’s economy through the gem and jewellery sector. He praised GJEPC for its proactive role in driving industry growth and fostering a favorable business environment at the Surat Diamond Bourse.
