Company Introduces First All-Swiss Lab-Grown Gems

by Madonna

A Zurich-based lab-grown diamond company has introduced a new line of jewelry, claiming it to be Switzerland’s first entirely manufactured diamond collection.

Founded in 2022, sustainable diamond brand LOEV has partnered with Swiss diamond company Ammil to launch the Swiss Made Diamond collection. Their new manufacturing facility in Muotathal, located in the central canton of Schwyz, operates on 90% hydroelectric power, supplemented by solar and biomass energy.

According to LOEV, most lab-grown diamonds are currently produced in Asia and the United States, where a significant portion of electricity comes from coal burning, impacting the environment adversely.

The Swiss Made Diamond collection features stones of D-F color and VVS1-VS2 clarity. It includes a limited selection of six contemporary designs, priced between $7,800 and $28,000. Interested customers can pre-order now, with an estimated delivery time of about four months.
