Gemfields’ commissioned book in 2020 presents 24 captivating short adventure stories based on real-life experiences with African colored gemstones.
In Jaipur, the book launch drew around 60 luminaries from the colored gemstone industry, including Gemfields’ customers and executives from Gems & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), Jaipur Jewellers Association (JJA), and Jaipur Jewellery Show (JJS). Their presence highlighted the book’s importance within the community.
Gopal Kumar, Director and General Manager of Gemfields India Private Limited, warmly welcomed attendees and introduced the evening’s agenda. Author Richa Goyal Sikri then presented exclusive insights into the stories, offering a deeper understanding of African gemstones.
“Jaipur is a global hub for colored gemstones, and it’s an honor to be here at Gemfields’ event for my book ‘No Stone Unturned’ with the Jaipur gem industry elite,” said Richa Goyal Sikri.
A highlight was a storytelling session featuring four esteemed Jaipur gem-industry veterans – Dharmendra Tank, Manoj Dhandia, Sunil Mittal, and Rahim Ullah – whose real-life stories are featured in the book. Their anecdotes brought the adventures to life, making it an engaging and memorable experience.
The event concluded with a high tea hosted by Gemfields, providing an opportunity for attendees to discuss the insights gained.
