Chloe Miller was reunited with the diamond from her engagement ring three days after her dog swallowed it.
The discovery came after Miller found her engagement ring at her home in Atlanta, Georgia, with damaged prongs and the gem missing. The culprit turned out to be her Australian Shepherd, Charlie.
“I had been gone for eight hours preparing for a big exam the next day,” Miller, a graduate student, shared with People magazine. “I had left the ring in a dish on my bedside table.”
Charlie swallowed the diamond on a Thursday, and it passed by Saturday morning.
Miller has since repaired the ring and had the diamond reset in a sturdier setting.
