A pear-shaped diamond ring by Van Cleef & Arpels is set to headline Heritage Auctions’ upcoming jewelry sale, with a top estimate of $300,000.
The ring, featuring a 5.01-carat, D-color, internally flawless diamond, will be a highlight of the Fall Fine Jewelry Signature auction on September 30. Another notable item in the auction is a ring with a 16.07-carat, fancy-yellow, VS1-clarity diamond in a cut-cornered rectangular modified brilliant-cut. This ring, flanked by shield-shaped diamonds totaling approximately 2.65 carats, is estimated to sell for up to $225,000.
Jill Burgum, executive director of fine jewelry at Heritage, described the sale as exceptional. “It features vibrant, punchy colors that contrast with the icy diamonds,” Burgum said. “The collection of designer pieces, both classic and contemporary, is outstanding. Particularly notable is a large selection of contemporary jewelry by Nini, making its debut in a major auction, with proceeds going to charity.”
Additionally, another ring with a modified heart-shaped 5.17-carat, F-color, VS2-clarity diamond is estimated to reach $150,000. The auction will also include a collection of eight whimsical brooches by Aldo Cipullo. The designs feature motifs such as a penguin, a seahorse, unicorns, and the Incan god Viracocha. These brooches are expected to range in price from up to $6,000 to a maximum of $15,000.
