The remains of O.J. Simpson have been transformed into lab-grown gems for his four children. His attorney and estate executor, Malcolm LaVergne, confirmed that Arnelle, Jason, Sydney, and Justin each received a piece of jewelry as a keepsake.
Simpson passed away from cancer at age 76 in April. Known for his career as an American footballer, actor, and media figure, he was infamously accused of murdering his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman, in 1994. Although he was acquitted of the charges, he was later held liable for wrongful deaths and faced a $33.5 million judgment. He also served time for robbery and kidnapping in Las Vegas. LaVergne told People magazine that each child received jewelry costing just over $4,000 in total, though he did not specify the items. Human ashes can be converted into lab-grown diamonds and other gems by extracting carbon.
