Earlier this year, Tiffany & Co. launched the Titan line, known for its blend of punk and traditional styles. Featuring 18-karat yellow gold and titanium, the collection is inspired by Poseidon’s trident and reflects Williams’ deep connection to water. “My inspiration comes from the sea—Poseidon, ruler of the waves, and Atlantis, the community where I grew up in Virginia Beach,” Williams said at the collection’s debut.
The collection has now evolved with the addition of pearls, combining Tiffany’s rich heritage with Williams’ contemporary style. Pearls have a long-standing association with the brand, highlighted by Abraham Lincoln’s gift of freshwater pearls to his wife, Mary Todd Lincoln, for the 1862 presidential inaugural ball. Williams also draws on Japanese mythology, where pearls were thought to be formed from the tears of mystical sea creatures. “They were a natural choice to express my connection to the water,” he explained.
The updated Tiffany Titan line now includes five new designs featuring pearls: a bold statement necklace, a sleek bracelet, an eye-catching pendant, drop earrings, and a double-row ring. The new pieces, infused with a playful, avant-garde spirit, aim to appeal to a new generation of fashion-forward consumers and restore pearls to their status as a style staple.
