The International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA) and the Brazilian Gems and Jewellery Trade Association (IBGM) have confirmed that the 20th ICA Congress will take place in Brasília, Brazil, from May 19-22, 2025.
The congress, themed “Gems for Generations,” will focus on sustainability throughout the colored gemstone supply chain. The goal is to strengthen consumer confidence and ensure a lasting legacy for the global gemstone industry, according to the ICA.
IBGM President Roseli Duque expressed pride in hosting the event, emphasizing it as a chance for Brazil to highlight its rich gemstone heritage to both domestic and international audiences.
“The theme, ‘Gems for Generations,’ reflects Brazil’s commitment to sustainability, ethical practices, and the continuous pursuit of excellence in the gemstone industry,” Duque said.
The congress will feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, and networking opportunities, aiming to address key challenges facing the gemstone industry now and in the future. The complete program will be revealed in the months ahead.
