A stunning Graff diamond necklace, previously owned by beauty mogul Sydell Miller, will be auctioned at Sotheby’s New York next month, with an estimated value of up to $1.5 million.
The necklace features graduated pear-shaped diamonds, highlighted by a remarkable 18-carat, D-color, internally flawless, detachable central diamond drop. The piece is part of Miller’s extensive collection, which will be sold across two separate auctions. These include the Magnificent Jewels sale on December 10 in New York and the Fine Jewels online sale, running from November 26 to December 12.
Miller’s collection spans a wide range of fine jewels, from rare colored diamonds and gemstones to vintage pieces from renowned jewelry houses like Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, and Harry Winston. Known as the “queen of the beauty industry,” Miller co-founded Matrix Essentials and was deeply passionate about jewelry as an art form, using it as a way to express her individuality, according to Sotheby’s.
In addition to her jewelry, Miller’s collection includes an impressive array of couture clothing and designer handbags, which will be auctioned online from November 8 to 26.
