Kim Kardashian recently unveiled a stunning piece of jewelry: the amethyst and diamond pendant once worn by the late Princess Diana.
Kardashian purchased the Attallah Cross for $197,000 at a Sotheby’s auction in London this January. The iconic necklace had previously belonged to Naim Ibrahim Attallah, a well-known Palestinian-British businessman, who bought it in the 1980s and frequently loaned it to Princess Diana.
Kardashian, 44, wore the pendant publicly for the first time at the LACMA Art+Film Gala in Los Angeles earlier this month. This marked the first time the necklace had been seen in public since Diana’s death in 1997.
The pendant, dating back to the 1920s, features a square-cut amethyst surrounded by approximately 5.25 carats of circular-cut diamonds.
Kardashian is known for collecting and wearing famous jewelry, including pieces once owned by Marilyn Monroe, Janet Jackson, Jackie Kennedy, and Elizabeth Taylor.
