Kieran Culkin is no stranger to the Golden Globes red carpet. Over the years, the actor has earned multiple nominations for his role in the acclaimed drama Succession. He even won the award last year for the show’s final season. This year, Culkin returned to the prestigious event, but for a new kind of performance. He was nominated for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his work in the film A Real Pain.
Culkin turned heads at the event, dressed in a sleek black suit paired with a matching shirt, tie, and a vest featuring thin white pinstripes. While his outfit was undeniably sharp, the centerpiece of his look was the striking Tiffany & Co. Bird on a Rock lapel pin.
Originally designed in 1965 by legendary jewelry creator Jean Schlumberger, the Bird on a Rock design has a storied history. Schlumberger crafted the piece for Bunny Mellon, a close friend and patron. Culkin’s version of the lapel pin featured a vivid yellow diamond “rock” topped with a white diamond bird, which gleamed against the dark fabric of his suit.
Tiffany & Co. CEO Anthony Ledru spoke about the enduring appeal of the design, saying, “The Bird on a Rock brooch is Tiffany & Co.’s most emblematic creation, exemplifying the wonder, joy, and timeless allure that has defined the house for nearly 200 years. Today, the Bird on a Rock upholds its position as one of the world’s most celebrated jewels, and we take great pride in celebrating and creating new expressions for the iconic design.”
Culkin’s sophisticated style and choice of jewelry brought an added layer of elegance to his red carpet appearance, solidifying his place as one of the evening’s best-dressed stars.
