Tiffany & Co. has officially opened its newly redesigned flagship store in Chengdu, China, located at Taikoo Li. This boutique marks the brand’s first triplex flagship in the country, combining Tiffany’s iconic American style with the cultural essence of Chengdu.
The store’s exterior features a striking design by architect Hugh Dutton, including a dynamic light sculpture that reflects Tiffany’s heritage in diamonds. The design pays homage to The Landmark store in New York City while showcasing the brand’s diverse offerings, such as high jewelry, fine jewelry, watches, and home accessories.
Inside, customers are welcomed by a cozy atmosphere with subtle touches of Tiffany Blue. The ground floor, titled “The World of Tiffany,” features hand-painted walls in a custom blue shade by artist Nancy Lorenz. This area displays the brand’s most iconic collections, including Lock, HardWear, T, and Knot by Tiffany. A chandelier by artist Andreea Braescu, inspired by Chengdu’s magnolia flower, adds a local cultural touch and brightens the space.
The second floor, named “All About Love,” focuses on Tiffany’s diamond collections. It includes a display designed with “Color & Light, 2024,” a piece by Italian artist Michelangelo Pistoletto. The High Jewelry section features unique creations in frosted glass pyramid cases, inspired by a 1950s design by Jean Schlumberger. Custom shimmering panels by Lorenz add a jewelry box-like feel to the space. This floor also houses Tiffany’s only watch salon in China, highlighting the brand’s expertise in watchmaking.
The third floor offers a more personal shopping experience, showcasing home goods, leather accessories, and baby products. It includes a private lounge and dining room. The lounge features an artwork titled “Tiffany Cute, 2024” by Damien Hirst, depicting butterflies in various shades of blue. The dining room is decorated with custom wallpaper inspired by Chengdu’s Renmin Park. Adding a playful touch, the baby room includes panda-shaped chairs designed by the Campana Brothers, celebrating Chengdu’s famous pandas.
This redesigned flagship store reflects Tiffany & Co.’s commitment to blending luxury with local culture, offering customers a unique and immersive shopping experience.
