The Australian jewellery industry is gearing up for its first major event of the year, the Melbourne Jewellery Expo, set to take place in just two weeks. Hosted by Expertise Events, the expo will run from Saturday, 1 February, to Monday, 3 February, at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Co-located with the Gift & Lifestyle Fair, the expo provides retailers with a prime opportunity to place orders ahead of key retail events like Valentine’s Day (14 February) and Mother’s Day (11 May).
Two prominent Australian jewellery buying groups, Nationwide Jewellers and Independent Jewellers Collective, will also be in attendance. Combined, these groups represent over 370 members and 440 stores across the country, making the expo a key networking hub for the industry.
Zac Fitz-Roy, General Manager of Expertise Events, highlighted the diversity of products on display, calling the expo a must-attend event for retailers.
“The Melbourne show is always a fantastic way to kick off the year,” Fitz-Roy said. “It gives retailers and suppliers a chance to reconnect in person after the busy holiday season. Buyers will find a wide range of products, from fashion and fine jewellery to homewares and accessories. This is especially valuable for retailers who stock gift and lifestyle lines.”
He added that the event is particularly beneficial for regional retailers who may not have the time or resources to travel interstate. “Above all, it’s a great opportunity for the industry to come together and reconnect,” Fitz-Roy noted.
With its mix of networking opportunities and diverse product offerings, the Melbourne Jewellery Expo promises to be a highlight of the industry calendar. Retailers and suppliers alike are encouraged to mark their calendars for this key event.
