In a groundbreaking collaboration, luxury jewelry brands Mikimoto and Chrome Hearts have joined forces to launch an exclusive high jewelry collection that blends timeless elegance with bold, rebellious design.
The collection features 11 standout pieces, including four necklace pendants, lariats, two pearl-strand necklaces, five pairs of earrings, a bracelet, and a pin brooch. Each piece combines Mikimoto’s world-renowned pearls with Chrome Hearts’ signature edgy aesthetic, creating a unique fusion of sophistication and daring style.
The collaboration traces its origins to 2020, when Jesse Jo, the eldest daughter of the Stark family (founders of Chrome Hearts), envisioned incorporating pearls into the brand’s classic fine jewelry line. Inspired by pearls’ ability to embody both classic beauty and radical rebellion, Jo sought a partner to bring her vision to life. Her father, Richard Stark, insisted, “If it’s pearls, it has to be Mikimoto,” setting the stage for this iconic partnership.
Accompanying the launch is a striking campaign photographed by Laurie Lynn Stark. The campaign highlights the seamless integration of Mikimoto’s pristine elegance and Chrome Hearts’ bold motifs, resulting in jewelry that is both timeless and avant-garde.
The collection will be available exclusively at select Chrome Hearts locations in New York, Aoyama, and London, as well as Mikimoto stores in Ginza, New York, and Hong Kong.
