Diamonds Do Good (DDG), a nonprofit organization that highlights the positive impact of natural diamonds on local communities, has announced the appointment of two new members to its board of directors: Julia Hackman Chafé and Monica Elias.
Julia Hackman Chafé, a third-generation gemstone dealer, has gained significant recognition as a jewelry content creator, amassing over 700,000 followers on Instagram. She recently made headlines for her coverage of the high-profile July wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. Chafé shared her experiences from the event on JCK’s Jewelry District podcast, further solidifying her influence in the industry.
Monica Elias, CEO of Elias World Media, brings over 20 years of experience as a video and film producer. Her accomplishments include winning a Stevie Award for “Most Innovative Woman of the Year” and being named one of the “25 Luxury Women Leaders to Watch in 2025” by Luxury Roundtable.
The announcement comes as Diamonds Do Good prepares for its annual awards gala, scheduled for June 5 at the Venetian resort in Las Vegas. The event will take place just one day before the opening of the JCK trade show, a key event in the jewelry industry.
The addition of Chafé and Elias to the board underscores DDG’s commitment to promoting the social and economic benefits of natural diamonds while leveraging the expertise of influential leaders in the field.
