As sustainability continues to shape the future of the jewelry industry, organizations worldwide are stepping up to lead in this critical area. To celebrate these efforts, Informa Markets Jewellery is hosting the Jewellery Sustainability Awards 2025 by JWA (Jewellery World Awards). The deadline for submissions is April 7, 2025.
This marks the second year of the awards program, organized by Informa Markets Jewellery, a leading jewelry tradeshow and publishing business in Asia and the Middle East. The company is part of Informa Markets, a global group specializing in publishing, business intelligence, and exhibitions.
Celine Lau, Director of Jewellery Fairs at Informa Markets Jewellery, emphasized the importance of the awards. “The program shines a spotlight on companies driving the industry toward a greener and more socially responsible future,” she said. “This year, we continue to honor businesses that are taking bold steps to build a more sustainable world.”
The awards are open to both private and commercial organizations. Entries will be judged across five categories, each reflecting sustainable achievements in 2024. These categories are built around the “3Ps” framework: People, Planet, and Prosperity.
Key initiatives recognized include efforts to achieve net-zero emissions, adopt eco-friendly manufacturing practices, responsibly source materials, use advanced technologies that support environmental sustainability and circularity, promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, and empower communities through collaboration.
For the 2025 edition, the award categories have been updated to better reflect industry trends and feedback. Notably, the Environmental Stewardship Award has been divided into two sub-categories: Life Below Water and Life on Land. These changes aim to highlight achievements in these specific areas. Participants can choose to enter one or both sub-categories.
The Jewellery Sustainability Awards 2025 is a platform for recognizing and inspiring sustainable innovation in the jewelry industry. Organizations are encouraged to submit their entries before the April 7 deadline to showcase their contributions to a more sustainable future.
