Luxury resale platform myGemma has expanded its services by launching a consignment option, allowing customers to sell their pre-owned designer items through its platform. Previously, the company only offered a direct selling model, where customers could list their luxury jewelry, watches, and handbags directly on myGemma’s website.
The new consignment service lists customers’ items not only on myGemma.com but also on over 25 additional marketplaces, including high-end platforms like Farfetch and 1stDibs. This broader reach aims to increase the chances of a sale.
MyGemma simplifies the selling process by handling all logistics. Customers receive a free, fully insured overnight shipping label to send their items for evaluation, authentication, and listing. The company’s in-house team takes care of professional photography, repairs, servicing, and polishing if needed. Any associated costs are communicated upfront and deducted from the final sale price.
According to myGemma, the consignment option could help customers earn more for their items. The company promises transparent pricing, no hidden fees, and quick listings to ensure fast sales. Sellers receive payment 30 days after the item is sold.
This new service is designed to provide a seamless and profitable experience for luxury resale customers, offering greater flexibility and convenience compared to the previous direct-selling model.
