Timothée Chalamet’s red-carpet style continues to turn heads, with his latest look drawing inspiration from music legend Bob Dylan. Known for his bold transformations, Chalamet’s wardrobe choices for both the screen and off-screen events reflect his ability to capture diverse influences.
At the 97th annual Academy Awards Nominees Dinner in Los Angeles, Chalamet turned to American folk music for his fashion inspiration once again. This time, he teamed up with stylist Taylor McNeill and Gap to create a standout look.
Chalamet wore a custom outfit from GapStudio, marking the brand’s first-ever men’s collection. Designed by Zac Posen, the creative force behind Gap Inc., the ensemble featured a sleek black button-up jacket and matching pants made from luxurious duchess satin. The actor kept it simple underneath, opting for a classic black t-shirt.
Posen explained that the design transcends fashion, representing “heritage, legacy, and cultural evolution.” He also highlighted the influence of Bob Dylan on the look, pointing to the cultural parallels between the music icon and Gap’s own history. Posen noted that in 1969, Gap was selling jeans and records, reflecting two moments that shaped culture, just as Dylan’s iconic song “Like a Rolling Stone” did in the 1960s.
Chalamet further elevated his style with accessories that included nearly $80,000 worth of Cartier jewelry. He wore the brand’s Trinity necklace, valued at $63,500, and a diamond-and-onyx version of the Les Berlingots ring, which is priced at €14,200 (approximately $14,900).
