The Vienna Opera Ball, one of Austria’s most prestigious and historic cultural events, dazzled attendees last night as the Swarovski Tiara took center stage. The grand ballroom of the Vienna State Opera transformed into a fairytale setting, with 160 debutant couples waltzing under the glow of exquisitely crafted Swarovski Tiaras.
This year’s tiara held special significance as Swarovski celebrated its 130th anniversary. Designed by Swarovski Global Creative Director Giovanna Engelbert, the 2025 tiara paid tribute to the iconic Swarovski Swan. Drawing inspiration from the Hyperbola jewelry collection and the elegance of the swan emblem, the tiara featured prong-set baguette and round-cut Swarovski Zirconia arranged in graceful loops, evoking the image of feathers or a swan gliding on water. At its center, a suspended stone sparkled with every movement, capturing the light as dancers twirled across the floor.
Swarovski CEO Alexis Nasard expressed his pride in the partnership, stating, “The Vienna Opera Ball and Swarovski represent a perfect blend of Austrian artistry and joy. Our longstanding collaboration grows stronger each year, and the ball is a magnificent showcase of Swarovski’s craftsmanship. This event beautifully merges heritage and modernity.”
The evening began with a gala dinner at Vienna’s historic Hotel Sacher, hosted by Swarovski for its distinguished guests. Among the attendees were notable figures such as Candice Swanepoel, Leni Klum, Ed Westwick, and Lea Elui, all adorned in stunning Swarovski jewelry.
For those unable to attend the ball, the 2025 Swarovski Tiara will be on display at Swarovski stores in Innsbruck and Vienna. Additionally, a glamorous stage installation at Kristallwelten will immerse visitors in the magic of the Vienna Opera Ball, with the tiara as its shining centerpiece.
The Swarovski Tiara continues to be a symbol of elegance and artistry, cementing its place as a highlight of the Vienna Opera Ball’s rich tradition.
