The dazzling jewelry collection of Hollywood legend Elizabeth Taylor is headed to auction at a Beverly Hills auction. Hosted by Julien’s Auctions, the sale will feature some of Taylor’s most prized items, as well as fashion and memorabilia from other stars including Marilyn Monroe, Cher, Victoria Beckham and Amy Winehouse.
The highlight is a striking ruby, diamond and gold necklace featuring a lion’s face design and matching earrings. The set is expected to sell for between $100,000 and $200,000.
Another highlight is a 1935 Art Deco brooch made with emeralds and diamonds in both old mine cut and European cut styles. The brooch, set in platinum and gold, is estimated at $20,000 to $30,000.
Also on the auction block is a gold and diamond Star of David pendant necklace designed by Theo Fennell. The piece has special significance, marking Taylor’s conversion to Judaism in 1959. It is estimated at $20,000 to $30,000.
The auction, titled “Bold Luxury: Treasures from the Spotlight,” will be held on March 27 at the Peninsula Beverly Hills. Martin Nolan, co-founder and executive director of Julien’s Auctions, said the sale is more than just an auction. “It’s an invitation to step into the spotlight and own a tangible piece of cultural history,” he said.
These iconic items will be auctioned off, giving fans and collectors alike the opportunity to own a piece of Hollywood glamour.
