Bella Thompson, a Miami-based entrepreneur, has recently launched an online store called Bea Vintage, offering custom-designed jewelry that blends vintage and modern elements.
Thompson, 24, creates unique pieces by combining vintage jewelry, beads, pearls, antique watches, pendants, and lockets. Her designs offer a fresh twist on classic styles, merging the old with the new.
“I’ve always been passionate about fashion and jewelry design, and starting my own business has been a dream of mine for a long time,” Bella explains. “Bea Vintage allows me to bring that dream to life.”
In 2024, Thompson started selling vintage and designer clothing online while simultaneously refining her jewelry designs. After gaining some experience, she realized it was time to take the next step and launch her jewelry brand.
“I often buy old jewelry and watches, either online or from vintage boutiques I love to visit in my free time,” she says. “I remove the watchbands and use the pieces to create colorful necklaces. Vintage lockets are used in a similar way.”
Thompson’s love for creativity and fashion has been evident since childhood. As a young girl, she would accessorize herself before daycare and, by the age of five, was already crafting clothes out of paper. Her passion for thrifting began in high school.
For Thompson, Bea Vintage represents a chance to breathe new life into outdated jewelry and showcase her artistic vision. Her main customers are women with an artistic flair who appreciate innovative and imaginative designs. Recently, several fashion models have reached out to her, expressing interest in her unique creations.
