Beaverbrooks, a well-known jewellery retailer with 89 locations across the UK, has announced plans to close seven of its stores. The closures are due to the branches being deemed “no longer commercially viable” as the company faces ongoing challenges in the retail sector.
The affected stores include locations in Birmingham Fort, High Wycombe, Huddersfield, Croydon, and Sutton Coldfield, as well as two Scottish branches in East Kilbride and Dundee. The East Kilbride and Dundee stores were closed on March 16. The Birmingham Fort and High Wycombe stores are set to close on March 23.
The decision reflects the ongoing difficulties many retailers are experiencing on the High Street, with shifts in consumer behavior and increasing competition impacting business performance.
