The Beijing International Jewellery Fair is currently taking place at the China National Convention Center (CNCC) from March 19-23, 2025. The event is hosted by the Gems & Jewelry Trade Association of China (GAC) and the National Gems & Jewelry Testing Group.
With over 1,000 booths spanning 22,000 square meters, the fair presents a comprehensive display of the jewelry industry, from supply chains and technology to innovative designs and expert craftsmanship.
Exhibits at the fair include a range of jewelry items such as diamonds, colored gemstones, jade, ready-made pieces, and high-end custom creations. The event aims to foster business connections and cater to the increasing consumer demand for creative and unique jewelry.
The exhibition is divided into several themed sections.
One of the standout features this year is the colored gem section. International jewelers are showcasing prized collections, including Myanmarese pigeon blood ruby, sapphire, Colombian Muzo emerald, and more. Rare gems like Paraiba tourmaline and spinel offer distinctive options for collectors.
The crystal section showcases exhibitors from Donghai county in Jiangsu province and Ketang town in Guangdong province. They are displaying a variety of products, such as natural crystal bead bracelets, rough crystals, rare mineral specimens, and artworks that combine traditional carving techniques with modern designs.
The jade section features traders from key areas in Guangdong, Henan, and Yunnan provinces. Prominent jewelers from jade-trading hubs like Pingzhou, Jieyang, and Sihui in Guangdong, Nanyang in Henan, and Ruili and Tengchong in Yunnan are exhibiting a wide range of jade pieces. The collection includes both luxurious collectibles and more subtle designs suitable for daily wear.
In the pearl section, industry associations from Zhejiang province and Shenzhen, along with businesses from Beihai city in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the Hongqiao Pearl Market in Beijing, are representing nearly 100 pearl companies. They are showcasing various types of pearls, including golden South Sea, white Australian South Sea, Tahitian black pearls, and freshwater varieties. Additionally, new designs and trendy accessories are being presented.
The GAC’s independent jewelry designers’ collective exhibition has returned, adding an artistic touch to the fair. Visitors can explore original jewelry designs that blend art with commerce, including luxury items, handmade pieces, and fine jewelry inspired by traditional Chinese culture.
The fair serves as a key platform for international collaboration, featuring not only leading Chinese brands but also the latest trends from global jewelers. The expanded international section welcomes jewelers from Sri Lanka, South Korea, Thailand, and Italy, offering rare colored gems, innovative designs, and exceptional craftsmanship.
New to the exhibition this year is African jade, a popular quartz-quality jade known for its vibrant colors and smooth texture. This jade variety has its own dedicated display area, highlighting its growing appeal.
The National Gems & Jewelry Testing Group, China’s top jewelry testing authority, is providing free on-site authentication services, giving buyers peace of mind before making purchases.
Visitors can also participate in lottery draws to win prizes by making purchases or sharing content related to the fair on social media.
