Cartier has introduced a new lineup of jewelry watches for Watches and Wonders 2025. The latest releases include the sculptural Tressage collection, a high-jewelry Panthère bangle, and newly gem-set versions of the Panthère de Cartier. These additions highlight Cartier’s commitment to both its signature designs and innovative craftsmanship, blending sculptural elements with intricate gem-setting and creative case construction.
The Tressage collection (French for “braid”) showcases a mix of texture and volume. Each watch features an elongated rectangular case (56.2 x 25.7 mm, 11.5 mm thick) with two asymmetrical twists.
The collection offers four variations:
- A yellow gold model with a black lacquer dial and a shiny black strap
- A fully pavé white gold version with 916 diamonds (12.2 ct) and a navy strap
- A mixed gold model with 466 diamonds (6.3 ct)
- A white gold version with 570 diamonds (5.7 ct) and 330 sapphires (5.9 ct), creating a rich color effect
Each piece is powered by a quartz movement, water-resistant up to 30 meters, and comes with both shiny and soft calfskin straps to complement the watch’s contrasting textures.
The Panthère high-jewelry watch is the most intricate design in Cartier’s latest collection. Designed as a hybrid bangle-watch in a Toi & Moi format, it features a panther figure facing a gem-set time display. Available in two versions, the white gold model is adorned with 1,103 brilliant-cut diamonds (11.9 ct) and showcases emerald eyes, an onyx nose, and fur-set onyx spots, a technique that mimics real fur by folding metal around each stone. The yellow gold version takes a bolder approach, featuring black lacquer spots, tsavorite eyes, and a dial set with 23 diamonds (0.78 ct), including a single diamond at 12 o’clock. Both models run on quartz movements, are water-resistant to 30 meters, and are available in three wrist sizes: 150, 160, and 170 mm.
The Panthère de Cartier remains a key piece in Cartier’s women’s watch collection, known for its brick-link bracelet and minimalist square case, making it both a timepiece and a piece of jewelry. In this latest update, Cartier has reimagined the watch with a mix of hand-applied lacquer and intricate gem-setting, creating an abstract pattern that resembles a blend of zebra and tiger prints.
The semi-pavé Panthère de Cartier models offer a refined yet versatile option. Available in yellow or rose gold, they come in three case sizes:
- 25 x 20 mm
- 30.3 x 22 mm
- 36.5 x 26.7 mm
Each model features a silvered dial, blued steel sword hands, and Cartier’s signature brick-link bracelet. Diamonds are set along the bezel and outer bracelet links, with total carat weights ranging from 1.07 to 3.49 ct, depending on the case size. Like the other models in the collection, these watches use quartz movements.
With these new designs, Cartier continues to push the boundaries of jewelry watchmaking, combining iconic heritage with technical artistry and luxurious craftsmanship.
