Bonhams is set to unveil a remarkable collection of Chaumet jewellery and vintage hand mirrors during its upcoming Cape Saint-Cyr jewellery auction in Paris on April 24.
The sale will present an array of fine jewellery, featuring not only Chaumet pieces but also works from prestigious maisons such as Cartier, Boucheron, Buccellati, Graff, and Van Cleef & Arpels. Items will include diamond jewellery, vibrant coloured gemstones, and iconic designs from across the decades.
Marine Girardet, Head of Bonhams’ French Jewellery Department, said the event would spotlight an exceptional private collection of Chaumet jewellery. “This single-owner collection includes pieces that reflect various design eras, from a striking Art Deco diamond and ruby bracelet to a bold malachite and lapis lazuli design from the 1970s,” she explained.
Among the highlights is a rare Art Deco ruby and diamond bracelet, estimated to fetch between €8,000 and €12,000 ($8,900–$13,300). The bracelet displays a classic geometric Art Deco pattern, with alternating rectangular links adorned with diamonds and a guilloché motif, accented by finely cut Cartier rubies.
Girardet added that the auction will also include highly coveted pieces such as a pair of coloured diamond earrings by Graff and a show-stopping sapphire ring weighing 21.03 carats.
The upcoming sale is expected to attract collectors and jewellery enthusiasts from around the world, drawn by the opportunity to acquire timeless creations from some of the most renowned names in haute joaillerie.
