Tysons Corner Center is set to transform its retail offerings with a combination of new stores and renovations to existing brands in the upcoming months.
One of the first new additions is Mejuri, a popular Canadian jeweler, which will open its 42nd store at the mall this Friday, April 11. Located on the second floor near Nordstrom, this marks Mejuri’s second location in the D.C. area, following a 2023 opening in Bethesda Row, Maryland. The company also plans to open a third location in Georgetown, listed as “coming soon” on their website.
Founded in 2015 by Noura Sakkijha, a third-generation jeweler, Mejuri focuses on using high-quality, responsibly sourced materials in its designs. The brand releases new jewelry collections weekly in limited quantities, producing more based on customer demand. The Tysons Corner store will feature a “Mejuri Ring Bar,” a full-service piercing studio, and elegant design elements that highlight the brand’s commitment to craftsmanship and individuality.
Courtney Hawkins, Mejuri’s Vice President of Retail, explained, “This new space offers another convenient way for the local community to experience Mejuri in person — discovering our everyday fine jewelry, meeting with our expert stylists, and enjoying services like piercing and jewelry cleaning to make every piece truly their own.”
Additionally, this month will see the opening of an expanded Sunglass Hut at Tysons Corner Center. The eyewear store, currently operating in a 965-square-foot space near Macy’s on the first floor, will relocate to a larger 1,566-square-foot suite on the second floor next to Casper by the end of April.
Tysons Corner Center will also welcome Gorjana, another jewelry brand, this spring. Originally slated for a summer 2025 opening, the store will now open on May 2, located across from Nespresso on the second floor.
Gorjana, which began in 2004 as a home-based business in Laguna Beach, California, now has locations across the U.S., including in Georgetown, Bethesda, and Baltimore. This will be its first store in Virginia.
Gorjana Reidel, the company’s co-founder and creative director, shared her excitement, saying, “We’re thrilled to open our new store in Tysons Corner, marking another exciting chapter in our national expansion. Our team is eager to bring the Gorjana experience to this vibrant community and provide a space where guests can discover elevated jewelry pieces that reflect the effortless fashion of California living.”
